For more than 100 years, 4\u2011H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Through life-changing 4-H programs, nearly six million kids and teens are learning the skills and abilities to be resilient, adaptable and ready for work and life.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"4-H Brand Essence\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/4vJ5Ab-uTDk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">King County 4-H <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>4-H is the youth development education program of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/\">Washington State University Extension<\/a>, which is conducted jointly by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nifa.usda.gov\/\">U.S. Department of Agriculture<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/4h\/\">Washington State University<\/a>&nbsp;and King County. <br><br>In 4\u2011H programs, kids and teens complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Kids experience 4\u2011H in every county and parish in the country through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs and 4\u2011H camps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4\u2011H\u2019s reach and depth are unmatched, reaching kids in every corner of America \u2013 from urban neighborhoods to suburban schoolyards to rural farming communities.
