{"id":6506,"date":"2026-09-21T15:31:10","date_gmt":"2026-09-21T22:31:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/king\/?p=6506"},"modified":"2026-09-21T15:31:10","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T22:31:10","slug":"september-minutes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/king\/archives\/6506","title":{"rendered":"September Minutes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sept 10, 2026<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>In attendance: Sue Adams, Floy Ziegler, Jim Olson, Anita Mastin, Susan Gormley, Deb Chicadel, Bunny Hatcher, Heidi, Alyssa (staff), Aspen (staff)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meeting called to order at 7:01 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minutes were presented, Anita moved and Jim seconded to accept minutes as presented. Motion carries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Floy gave the treasurer&#8217;s report. We have had $10,989.42 in expenditures this year, with $5,308.12 income. With no changes to this trend, we will be out of money within 4 years. The biggest expenditure was the county fair and there were requests for funds that exceeded the budgeted amount. A request was made for a motion to cover the extra $83. Anita moved to approve the extra amount be paid. Deb seconded and motion carries.\u00a0 There was discussion of where this money is being spent for the fair and also how the Expo Center helps support 4-H being at the fair.\u00a0 There was a question of whether a fair follow-up meeting has been scheduled by the Expo Center. None has been announced as of yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staff Reports:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Alyssa: A $500 donation from Frugals (burger establishment) has been recieved. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sewing club resumes October 3rd, as well as an adult class<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Super Saturday is Nov 14, will also have use of the gym this year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meridian Grange open house this Saturday to showcase their remodel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aspen and Alyssa went to WSU event, Taste of the State. Maybe some contacts with the alumni association to help with fundraising. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nancy returns to office Sep 28<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kick off meeting is October 8th at the Meridian Grange. Dinner will be served. Every club needs to have a representative. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sue reminded us that we still need to work on proposed changes to our Constitution and by. Aim for a vote in December.
