DESCRIPTION:Join WSU Regional Small Farms for our next online class: Grant Writing for Agricultural Producers. \nThis class is for farmers\, agricultural producers\, and agricultural organizations who would like to improve their grant writing skills. It’s specifically for new and beginning farmers who have little to no experience with grant writing\, especially when it comes to agricultural-focused grants. We will have one grant writing professional presenting\, along with a farmer speaker who has experience with applying for and implementing grants in their farm business. \nDate: January 8th\, 2025\nTime: 6pm – 8:30pm\nLocation: Virtual via Zoom. You must register to get the Zoom link!\nRegistration:\n \nWho should attend: This class is for farmers\, agricultural producers\, and agricultural organizations who would like to improve their grant writing skills. It’s specifically for new and beginning farmers who have little to no experience with grant writing\, especially when it comes to agricultural-focused grants. \nSpeakers: \nDiane Fish\, Kitsap Conservation District – Diane will speak on grant writing as it pertains to agricultural producers in Washington. She’ll speak on her experiences as both a grant writer and grant reviewer\, and share how to write grants clearly and convey importance to farm business. She’ll also go over how producers can adapt to different requirements of grants\, such as budgeting or covering expenses until reimbursement. \nFarmer speaker (TBA) – The farmer will cover their experiences applying for and receiving grant money: what worked\, what didn’t work\, and what they would’ve done differently. \nWSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination.
