Check out our <a href=\"#FAQ\"><strong>FAQ section<\/strong><\/a> for more information on age requirements, cost, and when you can join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Looking for a Club? <\/strong>Check out the list of clubs &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1ndD-wiqRQDe8kVB7sqimfffyA30TZ5GBFFYCuS4ZBWw\/edit#gid=0\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/1ndD-wiqRQDe8kVB7sqimfffyA30TZ5GBFFYCuS4ZBWw\/edit#gid=0\">Find a Club<\/a>&#8221; opens as a Google Sheet. A 4-H office staff will then connect you with the appropriate club.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Complete the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/QLowrW6WfirU2anJ6\">4-H Inquiry Form<\/a>&#8221; <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The Club leader will reach out with the following club information, including: <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Location of meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time of meetings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Required attendance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parental involvement required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Attend <\/strong>a Club meeting to see if it is a good fit for you and your child. It is important that before you enroll in 4-H you have found a club that is a good fit for your child and family. <a href=\"https:\/\/v2.4honline.com\/#\/user\/sign-in\"><strong>Enroll your child<\/strong>.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pay your 4-H State and County fees online by credit card before attending your next club meeting.<\/strong> Scholarships are available. In 4-H youth get to select &#8220;projects&#8221; that interest them to gain confidence, mastery, independence and life skills. Projects in 4-H are incredibly varied and can include almost anything including raising and breeding animals to &#8220;still life&#8221; projects which include photography and food preservation to name a few.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion  wsu-accordion--size-small\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__82379\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">How Old Does My Child Need to Be to Participate in 4-H?<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__82379\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>4-H is open to every youth, age 5 to not yet 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*&#8221;Age&#8221; is determined by the age of the youth by October 1st of the current 4-H year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shooting sports and large animal projects require youth to be at least 8 years of age by October 1st of the current 4-H year to participate.<\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion  wsu-accordion--size-small\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__36655\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">How Much Does It Cost to Join 4-H?<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__36655\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<ul>\n<li>$50 per child\/per year &#8211; $25 goes to WSU State 4-H and $25 goes to Kitsap County 4-H.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kitsap County 4-H has 3 youth per family maximum (<a href=\"mailto:kitsap.county4h@wsu.edu\">Contact the office<\/a> for family cap coupon code for enrollment) before registering. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4-H Club Fee: Some 4-H clubs have an additional club fee which varies from club to club. These fees may be to cover equipment, supplies and meeting location costs. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarships are available:<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/wpcdn.web.wsu.edu\/extension\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2022\/11\/Kitsap-Scholarship-Request-Form-10.22.pdf\">Kitsap Scholarship Request Form (PDF)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an annual fee which allows youth to participate in as many 4-H projects as they choose, depending on space.
