You don\u2019t need to soak them overnight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Simmer the beans with the garlic, onions and salt in water until tender but not mushy (about \u00bd hours)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the garlic cloves from the soup, reserving one clove.
