Whether you are just exploring the opportunities available or already have an existing operation, you\u2019ll learn what it takes to create, sustain, and grow a viable small farm or food business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Course Objectives:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To gain knowledge of the practical aspects of whole farm planning for a wide variety of enterprises<\/li>\n<li>To gain an understanding of the various components of sustainable small-scale farming systems<\/li>\n<li>To gain skills in assessing the feasibility of developing a viable, sustainable, small-scale farming enterprise including how to evaluate personal and family goals, land and personal resources, and environmental outcomes<\/li>\n<li>To learn about available resources and support networks for sustainable farming<\/li>\n<li>To develop a whole farm plan that meets social, environmental, and financial goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>This course builds on the foundational elements of Cultivating Success\u2122<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Farmer Mentorship \/<\/li>\n<li>Experiential Learning<\/li>\n<li>Community Place-Based<\/li>\n<li>Whole Systems Thinking<\/li>\n<li>Small Farms Focused<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Dates: <\/strong>Mondays from 6-8pm Sept. 23rd through Nov. 4th 2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Class meets weekly online through Zoom with regional in-person opportunities available throughout the state October 5th, 12th or 19th. Students access course materials through password protected website. Course offered with Spanish interpretation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Registration:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cultivatingsuccesswa.org\/courseregistration\/p\/whole-farm-planning\">https:\/\/www.cultivatingsuccesswa.org\/courseregistration\/p\/whole-farm-planning<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">includes up to 3 participants per farm.
