First 4-H Horse Judging

April 1, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

There will be two judging contests held. Youth enrolled in the Horse Project are required to participate in one county horse judging event to be eligible to compete at the Kittitas County Junior Horse Fair and complete the 4-H year.  For intermediate and senior members to be eligible to judge on the Kittitas County 4-H State Horse Judging team, they must judge in both county judging events completing oral reasons. All members are encouraged to participate in both contests. It is important to study and know the horse parts. The first 4-H Horse Judging Contest will be held on Monday, April 1 at 6:00 p.m. in Bloom Pavilion. The classes will be Quarter Horse Geldings Halter Class, Western Pleasure, and Western Equitation with Oral Reasons on this class, and a horse parts worksheet.

The second 4-H Horse Judging Contest will be held Saturday, July 13, time TBD in Bloom Pavilion during Horse Training Days.  Classes TBD; Oral Reasons.
