SUPER SATURDAY OF JUDGING Saturday, June 24, 2017
\n** Registration begins at 8am **
\n** Orientation and judging starts at 9:00am **<\/p>\n

STARTING LOCATION: Dan and Karla Better 410 Austin Road, Goldendale, WA<\/p>\n

Registration and orientation\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Horses, Mini Horses and Goats<\/p>\n

Stop #2: Curtis and Lacey Vaughn\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Swine<\/p>\n

Stop #3: J.P. and Linda Enderby\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sheep<\/p>\n

Stop #4: Ray Willis \u00a0\u00a0 Beef<\/p>\n

Stop #5: Klickitat County Fairgrounds – 4-H Exhibit Building<\/p>\n

Rabbits \u00a0 Cavies\u00a0\u00a0 Clothing\u00a0\u00a0 Foods<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Judging is making a decision and telling why that decision is made. Judging competitions allow youth to compare two or more items and explain why they think one is better than the other. The main purpose behind judging contests and activities is to help teach decision-making skills.<\/p>\n

At each stop, participants will be able to judge different species and will give oral reasons on two species\/classes that day, expanding their skills and knowledge in judging. This will be a fun learning experience. Bio-security measures will also be practiced at each location, upon arrival and at departure.<\/p>\n

Youth must have a responsible adult driver all day (must be a parent\/guardian or club\/group leader). Please bring a sack lunch, curiosity to learn and plan to have a great, fun-filled day.<\/p>\n

Registration will be on-site at the starting location.<\/p>\n

Open to 4-H and FFA members. Thank you to all of our site locations for hosting a portion of this event. Special thanks to our local Goldendale FFA Advisors, Randi and Josh Krieg, for their valuable assistance with judging and oral reasons.<\/p>\n
