Learn how your gardening practices impact our water, air, and local wildlife. Gain the skills to garden sustainably and make a positive difference.<\/p>\n Green School offers two distinct tracks in its online course: one for individuals looking to enhance their gardening skills through research-based horticultural and environmental stewardship, the\u00a0Washington Gardener course<\/a>, and another for those who wish to take it further by becoming a\u00a0WSU Extension Master Gardener Program<\/a>\u00a0volunteer.<\/p>\n Get Started! Get gardening!<\/strong><\/p>\n The WSU Lewis County Master Gardener Program provides research-based information on home horticulture. WSU Extension trained Volunteers are prepared to help with advice on growing plants, insect identification and managing disease problems.<\/p>\n Certification of\u00a0 Master Gardener volunteers requires a minimum of 40 hours<\/em> answering gardening questions in the Plant & Insect Clinics, helping with or presenting educational or youth outreach, working within one or more of the demonstration gardens throughout the County, or supporting the program in other ways.<\/p>\n Our volunteers staff regularly scheduled Plant & Insect Clinics at the WSU Lewis County Extension office as well as in many locations during the gardening season, helping people learn to garden more productively.<\/p>\n Master Gardener Plant & Insect Clinic (PIC) Hours NOTE:<\/strong> Depending on volunteer staffing, the PIC may or may not be open during these times.
