{"id":2055,"date":"2015-02-24T11:13:22","date_gmt":"2015-02-24T19:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ext100.wsu.edu\/lewis\/?page_id=2055"},"modified":"2026-03-24T13:33:44","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T20:33:44","slug":"master-composters","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/lewis\/master-composters\/","title":{"rendered":"Master Recycler Composters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--single\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<p>The Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteer Program is a collaboration between Washington State University Extension and the Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MRCs are volunteers who care about the environment, Lewis County, and its citizens and are passionate about topics like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Recycling and composting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Re-using or re-purposing items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reducing food waste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Raising community awareness about environmental issues<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Volunteering at special events, such as Christmas Tree Recycling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>MRC volunteers are trained on how to reduce waste and increase public awareness about reducing, recycling, and composting in Lewis County.
