{"id":2055,"date":"2015-02-24T11:13:22","date_gmt":"2015-02-24T19:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ext100.wsu.edu\/lewis\/?page_id=2055"},"modified":"2025-01-02T12:18:36","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T20:18:36","slug":"master-composters","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/lewis\/master-composters\/","title":{"rendered":"Master Recycler Composters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"cpb-row  pad-bottom gutter single\" style=\"\"><div class=\"cpb-row-inner\"><div class=\"cpb-column  one\" style=\"\"><div class=\"cpb-textblock cpb-item \"><p><\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"05ss4\">The Master Recycler Composter (MRC) Volunteer Program is a collaboration between Washington State University Extension and the Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"05ss4\">MRCs are volunteers who care about the environment, Lewis County, and its citizens and are passionate about topics like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-block-key=\"gc40v\">Recycling and composting<\/li>\n<li data-block-key=\"3fasd\">Re-using or re-purposing items<\/li>\n<li data-block-key=\"oxzjq\">Reducing food waste<\/li>\n<li data-block-key=\"72oin\">Raising community awareness about environmental issues<\/li>\n<li data-block-key=\"5eh2q\">Volunteering at special events, such as Christmas Tree Recycling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-block-key=\"m3abm\">MRC volunteers are trained on how to reduce waste and increase public awareness about reducing, recycling, and composting in Lewis County.
