4-H enrollment is manged through 4hOnline. 4hOnline is a fully integrated management system that brings together all levels of the 4-H experience.  Whether it’s a member logging in to manage their record, a club leader printing mailing labels, or a county agent approving a member’s enrollment.  4hOnline brings the 4-H community together and keeps everyone involved.

Enrollment for the 2018-2019 4-H Year

The 4-H year runs October 1st through September 30th. However, most clubs begin enrolling and re-enrolling members in October and November. Some clubs continue to accept enrollments into spring or early summer. Each club establishes their own deadline prior to the Lincoln-Adams final enrollment deadline of July 15th. Some animal projects have earlier deadlines to be eligible for shows, sales, and fairs. If you are new to 4-H or the Lincoln-Adams area, contact Karen at robertk@wsu.edu or 509-659-3209 for information on area clubs or to start a new club before enrolling or re-enrolling in 4hOnline.

  • Changes for this year:
    • Volunteer Minimum Age: The minimum age for certified adult volunteers has been reduced from 19 to 18. A youth who has reached their 18th birthday upon enrolling will have the option to enroll as a youth member or an adult volunteer. They cannot be enrolled as both and must choose. Once a member has elected to enroll as an adult volunteer, they may not revert their enrollment back to that of a member
    • 4-H Age Determination Date: The date 4HOnline will use to determine age date has been changed to October 1st of the current 4-H year. It was previously set to September 30 of the current 4-H year. This only affects youth with a birthdate on October 1st. If a youth turns 5 on October 1st of the current 4-H year, they are eligible to participate in the 4-H program for the current year. Previously these youth were not eligible until the following 4-H year.

Beginning of 4-H Year

General (Head) leaders and Project Leaders should submit enrollment to 4hOnline AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Youth member enrollments can’t be approved if there is no Project Leader enrolled for one or more of their listed projects.

There is a WA State 4-H Enrollment fee of $25 for youth members.
There is no Enrollment Fees for adult volunteers.

Lincoln or Adams Co. youth members should submit enrollment or re-enrollment to 4hOnline as soon as possible between Oct. 1st and December 14th AFTER visiting with club leader(s) to select your 4-H projects for this year.

NEW members may continue to be accepted if they join 4-H after December 14th depending on a club’s management policy.
