Date:<\/strong> August 11, 2026 Erin, Melissa, Katie, Amy, Owen, and Jamie<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meeting was called to order by Owen at 6:01 PM. Melissa has handed off meeting leadership responsibilities to Owen for August and September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The pledges were recited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The May and July meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Falyn reported that the account balance remains the same as reported in July. The July bank statement has not yet been received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The council discussed upcoming end-of-year activities and the possibility of volunteer-focused Zoom meetings hosted through a WSU volunteer specialist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A summer camp debrief is planned for September to review the 2026 camp season and identify opportunities for future improvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Jamie reported that Steamboat Island 4-H will take the remainder of the summer off and resume activities in the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tech Change Makers has been formally invited to participate in the Penn State Teen Conference in February 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Amy Bond will take over as the Steamboat Island 4-H club leader and will begin in that role in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Katie reported on the participation of three club members at the county fair. One club member qualified to participate at the Washington State Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The council discussed the successful county fair and the strong participation of Mason County 4-H families. Several youth and families are continuing on to state fair opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Clubs will be represented at the fall open house to connect with families interested in learning more about Mason County 4-H and local clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The council is looking for volunteers and youth to participate in an interactive 4-H activity during OysterFest on Saturday, October 3.
