Archery

Jessica Simon, 4-H Leader, Country Pride 4-H, is organizing upcoming archery events and is welcoming all 4-H’ers to participate. If you are interested, please contact her at 509-292-5155 (home); 509 879-7355 (cell); or e-mail her at jessica@knightconst.com.  Thank you.

West Nile Virus

Please encourage 4-H horse project youth, leaders, and parents to vaccinate 4-H project horses, (ALL horses, actually), for West Nile Virus (WNV). Previously vaccinated horses need an annual booster in early spring to optimize protection for the coming mosquito season. Naïve horses need a series of two vaccines and will not achieve adequate protection until a week after the second injection, so time is of the essence.

4-H Leader Council Meeting

The next Leader Council is scheduled for Thursday, June 15, at the Extension Office, 227 S Garden Ave, Newport.  The meeting begins at 6:30pm.  Your participation is greatly appreciated.  Please find the minutes from the May Leader Council meeting here:  4H Leader Council Mtg Min – 05-18-17

Friendly Reminder!

All leaders and adult volunteers are required to log their volunteer hours on the WSU volunteer database. So far this year only 15% of our 4-H adults in Pend Oreille County have logged hours. PLEASE call Dixie at 509-447-6453 and she will gladly help you through the process. It will only take a few minutes and she can help you right over the phone.  Thanks!
