Join the Washington State 4-H Teen Equity and Inclusion Task Force

The Washington State 4-H Teen Equity and Inclusion Taskforce is a new statewide leadership opportunity to help promote equity in 4-H. We currently have 10 active youth members and are looking for more. We meet over zoom videoconferencing and connect with youth around the state online through SLACK. We are also planning some in person meetings and events. Our primary focus right now is LGBTQ+ equity and inclusion.

Some of the projects we are currently working on include planning a workshop for state leaders forum and organizing a one day symposium on how to support diversity and inclusion in 4-H. We also have a delegation of youth attending the Ohio Diversity Dialogue in October. We have so much we are working to accomplish and we would love your help. We are open and excited about new ideas to make 4-H more equitable and would love your input!

If you are interested, applications are out on the WSU teen opportunities page and you can also email us at wa4hteenequity@gmail.com for more information on what we’re working on and our goals for the future!
