People’s Place Adult Nutrition Education

WSU Pend Oreille County Extension SNAP-Ed Program, in partnership with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and the Federally Recognized Tribal Extension Program, offers Adult Nutrition Education classes at the Kalispel People’s Place on the Kalispel Tribe of Indians Reservation in Usk, WA. An eight week series of classes teaches how to shop smart, save money, read store labels, and stay physically active all while living healthy, happy lives.

Classes are in session twice a month on Mondays and focus on overall health and wellness by teaching how to cook healthy, low cost meals for your whole family. This summer, bring your family out to the People’s Place garden where we will be gardening with Tribal Extension Project Director Carol Mack and utilizing the locally grown produce to make fresh healthy meals!
