4-H of Pierce County is seeking workshop proposals for its 2026 Super Saturday.  This event brings together many youth and adult volunteers from 4-H of Pierce County and our communities, to learn, share, and have fun.  Our objective is to promote the Essential Elements of 4-H:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Belonging \u2013 providing an inclusive, safe environment with caring adults for youth to \u201cLearn by Doing.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Generosity \u2013 valuing and practicing service for others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Independence \u2013 developing skills and confidence for self-discipline and leadership now and in the future.  Linking greater power and influence with responsibility for decisions made and actions taken.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Mastery \u2013 building knowledge, skills, attitudes, and relationships through experiences over time, thus \u201cMaking the Best Better.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Super Saturday Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The Pierce County Super Saturday is an event that brings together more than 100 youth and adult volunteers from 4-H of Pierce County and our communities, to learn, share, and have fun.  Each class is 50 minutes long, with three classes in the morning and then two after a lunch break.  Our goal is to provide workshops which will educate, empower, and enlighten our youth and leaders .  We think that your particular expertise will contribute to a valuable learning experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This year we would like to include (for members and leaders) a series of The Basics of Judging\/Judging Contests<\/strong> (how to judge and how to prepare to be judged), How to Run a Club Meeting, and Leadership Development & Team Building<\/strong>.  Additional class suggestions and ideas are welcome!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    We invite you to join us for a fun-filled day with friendship, sharing, and learning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    General Information<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    • Handouts are the responsibility of the presenter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Pierce County 4-H can furnish easels, newsprint, and markers.  *Please check with the 4-H office for additional equipment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • If materials for class are needed, the Pierce County Leaders Council will reimburse presenters up to $35.00 for each class, with receipts, on the day of Super Saturday. (No additional fees will be collected from class participants.) (No reimbursements will be made after February 15, 2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Lunch will be provided to presenters (and one co-presenter).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Presenters (and one co-presenter) may take classes free of charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
