SUMMARY:Blueberry Pruning Dirt Talk Farm Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join WSU Regional Small Farms Program and kick off our first Dirt Talk Farm Walk of 2026! Learn from experienced blueberry growers\, Laurae Hughes of Gray Fox Farm and Master Gardener\, Doug Van Allen. This farm walk will consist of a tour of younger blueberry bushes\, a discussion\, and a demonstration about blueberry bush pruning techniques for optimal production. Participants can bring a pair of clean\, sharp bypass pruners or loppers for a hands-on learning experience\, but it’s not required. Gloves are required if you choose to prune – please bring. \nDate: Thursday\, 2/26/2026 \nTime:  1:00 pm to 3:30 pm \nLocation: address provided upon registration \nSpeaker: Laurae Hughes\, owner of Gray Fox Farm\, and Doug Van Allen\, Master Gardener \nAudience: Farmers or small-acreage landowners. This farm walk is not open to the general public for a tour. \nPlease only register for the farm walk if you plan to attend as there is limited space for this event. If you register and are unable to come\, we kindly ask that you inform us at least 48 hours before the event so that we may open registration to other interested farmers.  \nIf you go to register and there are no spaces available\, please email Kellie Henwood at kellie.henwood@wsu.edu to be put on our cancellation list.  \n    \nWSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination.
