DESCRIPTION:Do you want beautiful\, green productive pastures? Do you want to feed less hay? \n\n\n\n\nJoin us at Woodpecker Hill Farms in Poulsbo for the Pasture Planting and Renovation Workshop! WSU Regional Small Farms is excited to partner with Kitsap Conservation District and local farmers to host this workshop.\n\n\n\n\nEvent highlights:\n\n\nThis hands-on workshop will include lots of many tips\, tools and resources including:\n\n-What are the benefits of a well-managed pasture?\n-Do I want to seed a new pasture or renovate an existing pasture?\n-What kind of equipment do I need to plant or renovate pasture?\n-What type of forage/grasses should I plant for different kinds of livestock?\n-How much fertilizer and other amendments should I use?\n-What can soil testing tell me about my pastures?\n-How do I keep my pastures healthy and productive for a long time?\n\n\nWho should attend:\n\nThis is a class for anyone who manages pasture\, whether you have five or 50 acres – whether you have horses\, cattle\, sheep\, goats or other livestock.\n\nEvent details:\nDate: Wednesday\, May 6th \nTime:  3pm-5pm \nLocation: Woodpecker Hill Farms\, registration required to attend \nClick to navigate to registration page.  \nWSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination.
