SUMMARY:Grant Writing for Agricultural Producers Part 2
DESCRIPTION:This is part two in the Grant Writing for Agricultural Producers series. The first class focused on grants from a broad view\, covering all the steps in writing a grant and their relevancy to farm businesses. A link to a recording of the class can be found at the Regional Small Farms YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/OhlZGCMVh8g?si=wraToKRBSeL2hy1a. \nThis second class is geared towards technical grant writing to help farmers and food producers apply for federal grants as well as state\, public\, and private grants. It will focus on the most writing-intensive aspects of grant applications including intro/project synopsis\, statement of need\, and the narrative. \nGuest Speakers: This class will be taught by professional grant writers from Hagerty Consulting\, in conjunction with the Federal Funds Grant Writing Assistance Program. The FFGWAP is an initiative of the Washington State Department of Commerce\, in partnership with Hagerty Consulting\, to support access to Federal Funds grant writing assistance for communities across the state. \nAudience: This class is open to farmers across the region and further afield. It’s for any farmer or agricultural-related business or organization who is seeking support in grant writing. The class is especially tailored to new and beginning farmers with little to no experience writing a grant. \nDATE: February 26th \, 2025\nTIME: 6:00pm – 7:30pm\nLOCATION: Virtual – you must register to receive the Zoom link\nREGISTRATION:\n \n——\nWSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination.
