Hosted by Farmer Roni Ryan from Sage &amp; Willow Farm &amp; Shearer Elizabeth Resager. Whether you&#8217;re new to fiber animals or a seasoned shepherd, this interactive class is packed with practical skills and expert tips to elevate your fleece game.<\/p>\n<p>What you&#8217;ll learn:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fleece prep for the mill<br \/>\nGet hands-on with real fleeces and learn the art of skirting: what to keep, what to toss, and how to make your fleece mill-ready.<\/li>\n<li>Live shearing demonstration<br \/>\nWatch experienced local shearer Elizabeth Resager in action! Learn about pre-shearing prep, animal handling, and best practices for a smooth shearing day.<\/li>\n<li>Hoof trimming basics<br \/>\nSee a live demo on proper hoof care to keep your animals healthy and happy.<\/li>\n<li>Parasite check &amp; treatment tips<br \/>\nLearn how to spot and treat topical parasites during shearing season.<\/li>\n<li>Q&amp;A session<br \/>\nBring your questions! Chat with Farmer Roni Ryan and Shearer Elizabeth Resager after the demos<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Living on the Land Workshops are for people living on small acreage, backyard growers, and anyone interested in connecting with their local food systems. Registration is required to attend this in-person class; <a href=\"https:\/\/shearingandfleeceprep.brownpapertickets.com\">register here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>WSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination.
