The more you tell us about the plant and its environment, the better we can provide advice and an accurate diagnosis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Include photos.&nbsp;<\/strong>Take a close-up of the affected area and of the entire plant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Include a plant sample.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;Provide enough material for us to view the plant problem. Keep the sample in the refrigerator in a Ziploc bag until you submit it. Label the bag with your name and contact number.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Samples can be dropped off at:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/events\/\">Ask a Master Gardener events<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/contact\/\">The WSU Extension Office in Friday Harbor<\/a><\/strong>. If the office is closed, please place the sample in the cooler located outside 221 Weber Way, lower level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.orcaslibrary.org\">The Orcas Island Public Library<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Put sample in a bag\/envelope labeled &#8220;Master Gardener&#8221; and ask the staff at the desk to put it in the community box.
