No Minutes submitted for approval<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Division of Duties Proposal &#8211; Clinton Gauthier<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Following last year\u2019s fair and the resignation of Leanne from the chair position, Clinton presented a proposal for restructuring the board and dividing duties, based on state recommendations. \n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chair: <\/strong>Clinton will serve as Chair and a non-voting member of LMAAC, performing the majority of previous chair duties.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Co-Chair: <\/strong>A volunteer will serve as Co-Chair (to be elected), acting as Chair in Clinton\u2019s absence and attending pre-fair weigh-ins, weigh-in at fair, and the auction. Additional duties outlined in the proposal.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Treasurer: <\/strong>Likely to continue as Randi Mayberry.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">&nbsp;Treasurer\u2019s Report-Randi Mayberry&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Revenue: \n<ul>\n<li>Livestock auction $82,287.50&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Buy back auction $6,620.00&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Livestock Processing fees $13,831.58&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add on contributions $3,150.00&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LMAAC TB profit distribution plan (30% of all turn-back fund in excess of 6,000 goes to LC for dedicated purposes of EAS support) did apply this year. \n<ul>\n<li>Gross TB $6,620.00&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Less $6000.00&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Total $620.00&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>$620.00 x .30 =$186.00\u2014 amount was divided in to two checks \n<ul>\n<li>1. EAS endowment for $93&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2. EAS scholarships for $93&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LMAAC sent $800 to LC for Pierre Franklin award&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LMAAC also purchased a new livestock scale in the amount of $1,032.51&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Account balance $9,101.59&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Old Business<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>First Meeting of the 4-H Year<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Auction recap\/discussion<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Suggestions for improvement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Offer refreshments as in previous years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use reusable paddles with handles instead of paper plates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explore ways to increase buyer numbers, framing purchases as investments in youth development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Request to complete an inventory of committee-owned supplies for next year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Business<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Whatcom County Youth Fair<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Call for volunteers for the 2026 fair. Opportunity for older members to serve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Equipment Report<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Grey scale (old, rat-damaged) uncovered behind swine barn.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>New black scale (under cover near swing barn, head in shed) \u2014 wiring unit requires protection to avoid potential future damage.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobile scale (bad wheel) in 4-H storage shed \u2014 wheels critical for calibration.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Request for detailed inventory of what supplies are owned by LMAAC (stands, dryers, etc)&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Post Fair Clean-up<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Livestock area and swine barn water assembly not fully tidied post-fair.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discussion regarding division of storage responsibilities between clubs, LMAAC, and Parks &amp; Fair Dept.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A work party will be scheduled to tidy and winterize barns. Some minor repairs are needed.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Shephard family is not participating in 4-H this year. We need an official leader for San Juan Livestock and someone to head the cut\/wrap process.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Business<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Budget<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Discussion of credit card processing fees, currently set at 0.4% \n<ul>\n<li>Historically there was an increased number of turnbacks and so that money was used to cover this cost and fees were decreased. Example with $82,000 in sales $32 is the fee charge.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Options: \n<ul>\n<li>move to Venmo instead of credit card processing&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increase fee to youth&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pass the fee to buyers&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LMAAC Sub-committees\/division of duties<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Scale committee&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing committee \n<ul>\n<li>Kathy is willing to head this committee.
