Participation in the auction requires your utmost attention to detail; it will help you develop your marketing and sales experience along with the challenges of raising animals for sale. Your animals will need to meet requirements. Please review ALL auction documents and requirements carefully, and ask your 4-H club leaders for assistance. You will find current Livestock Auction Requirements within the <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/4h\/leaders-council\/san-juan-county-leaders-council-policy\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"10063\">Leaders Council Policy<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>5\/30<\/strong>: Livestock Spring Weigh-in at the San Juan County Fairgrounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7\/1<\/strong>: For all 4-H members who will sell a large animal at auction (market beef, alternative beef, hog, meat goat, lamb), the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/4-h-intent-to-sell-form\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"10225\">Intent to Sell<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/livestock-market-animal-auction-committee-lmaac-memorandum\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"10240\">Sifting Committee Memorandum<\/a>\u201d forms are due to the County Extension Office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>7\/15<\/strong>: \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/4-h-intent-to-sell-form\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"10225\">Intent to Sell<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/livestock-market-animal-auction-committee-lmaac-memorandum\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"10240\">Sifting Committee Memorandum<\/a>\u201d for 4-H members who will auction small livestock and\/or eggs at the San Juan County Fair.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8\/13<\/strong>: Final weigh-in day. Livestock members will submit Producer Affidavits and Health Records for their market animals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Still Life Deadlines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sunday before Fair:&nbsp;<\/strong>9:00 AM \u2013 5:00 PM: All Photography, Posters, Stall Stories for judging and some written word classes are due, tagged at the Marie Boe Building, SJC Fairgrounds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note there will be&nbsp; options for 4-H Families to enter Still Life entries. It will be up to families to decide what method of entry they prefer. Meaning WSU Extension in collaboration with the Fair will provide a pick up service to support other islands in entering Still Life entries. Or families\/clubs can make arrangements to collaborate and deliver entries to Marie Boe Building. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Wednesday before Fair:&nbsp;<\/strong>Entry Day for remaining still life departments\u2013 due by 4pm. Taking entries Monday and Tuesday 10am-4pm as well at Marie Boe. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial Support for Higher Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>January \u2013 February<\/strong>: Washington State University 4-H offers scholarships.
