Your references may also be contacted via phone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__28736\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">Step 3 &#8211; Complete a Background Screening<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__28736\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>4-H Staff will reach out with options for completing a background screening. This is required regardless of other background screenings with other organizations. <\/p>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__2433\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">Step 4 &#8211; Complete the Required Volunteer Education<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__2433\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<ul>\n<li>Visit the&nbsp;eXtension.org website&nbsp;to login and view the \u201c<strong>WSU Put the Child First<\/strong>\u201d video. This child protection video training is required for all staff and volunteers working with youth and vulnerable adults. This 20-minute presentation may be viewed at any time at your home or Extension office. To register go to:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/campus.extension.org\/course\/index.php?categoryid=159\">Campus Extension Webpage<\/a>&nbsp;The San Juan County Enrollment key is:&nbsp;<strong>SANJUAN4H<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visit the&nbsp;eXtension.org website&nbsp;to login and complete \u201c<strong>4-H Volunteer Orientation Modules.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>This training includes four interactive, self-paced training modules, complete with review: \u201cAbout 4-H,\u201d \u201cPositive Youth Development,\u201d \u201cGetting Started in 4-H,\u201d and \u201cLeadership and Teaching.\u201d&nbsp; These trainings are intended for potential volunteers, as well as current or past volunteers wanting a refresher. Recording your volunteer hours is mandatory and a state 4-H requirement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading wsu-spacing-after--small\">Leader Job Descriptions:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><b>Club Leader<\/b> <\/strong>assume primary responsibility for a 4-H group or club. This is a position best shared with co-leaders. <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/4h\/resources-for-clubs-and-volunteers\/4-h-club-organizational-leader\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"11682\">Full Position Description<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project Leaders<\/strong> lead a specific project or curriculum within a club or group, like goats, sheep, poultry, or knitting. <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/4h\/resources-for-clubs-and-volunteers\/4-h-project-leader\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"11685\">Full Position Description<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">San Juan County 4-H Leaders Council<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>All&nbsp;<\/strong>4-H leaders, parents, members (especially teens) are welcome to attend Leaders\u2019 Council meetings.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Please encourage at least one leader, teen, or parent to represent your group (Club, Family or Special Interest Program) at Leaders Council meetings!<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>It doesn\u2019t have to be the same person each time! More information and meeting schedule can be found on the <a href=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/sanjuan\/4h\/leaders-council\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"241\">Leaders&#8217; Council page<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Become a 4-H Collaborator<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>4-H Collaborators work or volunteer for other agencies and partner with the WSU 4-H Youth Development Program to utilize 4-H programs and\/or curricula in their programs. They are expected to provide appropriate reporting and updates to their supervising WSU Extension 4-H faculty. Generally, these types of volunteers participate in school enrichment, military programs, or other special programs.
