Whether a transition is coming soon or is still years down the road, this free workshop is an opportunity to learn about succession and land and business transfer\u2014and to start thinking through your options.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">American Farmland Trust, the San Juan Islands Agricultural Guild and WSU San Juan County Extension invite local farmers, ranchers and agricultural landowners to join us for an interactive half-day workshop focused on planning for the future of your farm or ranch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We&#8217;ll hear from professional advisors and spend time in small-group roundtable discussions where participants can ask questions, explore different approaches and identify practical next steps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Featured advisors:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dylan LeValley, attorney with Adams &amp; Duncan Lawyers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jack Hebner and Gayle Cooper, Fulcrum Institute Dispute Resolution Center<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elizabeth Bragg, land transfer specialist with American Farmland Trust\u2019s Pacific Northwest team<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The workshop is for farmers and ranchers at all stages of their careers, including those considering retirement or a future transfer, as well as agricultural landowners thinking about the long-term future of their land.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>There is no cost to attend, and lunch will be provided.
