Find out more »2022 AgrAbility National Training Workshop
The AgrAbility NTW is the foremost educational event addressing issues related to disability in agriculture. The conference provides professionals and consumers from across the country the opportunity to gain valuable technical knowledge, make important networking contacts and learn about new technologies from vendors. The four-day event will include workshops, tours, networking opportunities, and special events. Sessions include agriculture as therapy, preventing secondary injuries, assistive technology for agriculture, adding value to your farm, dealing with stress, and veterans in agriculture. On Tuesday, March 15th, there will be a banquet and benefit auction featuring keynote speaker and North Carolina AgrAbility client Davon Goodwin. Davon served in Iraq and Afghanistan where he earned a Purple Heart after being wounded by an improvised explosive device (IED). Since 2012, Davon has been working with GrowingChange, a nonprofit organization transforming former North Carolina prisons into therapeutic farms and community centers where youth and veterans serve in leadership roles.
