Skagit 4-H Volunteer Application<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Skagit 4-H Youth Development program invites caring individuals 18 years of age and older to volunteer and make a difference in their community. 4-H Volunteers help young people grow by building on their strengths, fostering positive relationships, and opening doors to new opportunities. Together, we can help youth develop the confidence, connections, compassion and leadership skills they need to thrive. We welcome participants of all experience levels and backgrounds who are passionate about partnering with youth to help them reach their full potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteer Hours Reporting<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

GivePulse<\/strong> is the volunteer management system used by WSU Extension to track and document volunteer service. Certified 4-H Volunteers are asked to record their volunteer hours in GivePulse each month, including time spent at club meetings, events, planning, preparation, trainings, travel, and other 4-H-related activities. Keeping hours up to date helps WSU accurately demonstrate the tremendous amount of time volunteers contribute to 4-H, measure the impact of the program in our communities, and provide accurate information for reporting, funding, and program support. Logging hours monthly also makes it much easier for volunteers to remember and accurately report their service rather than trying to recreate an entire year’s worth of activities later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fair Resources<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The WSU 4-H Fair Resources<\/strong> page provides information and tools to help members, families, and volunteers prepare for county, regional, and Washington State 4-H fairs. It includes resources for FairEntry registration, State Fair participation, animal entry information, exhibitor requirements, and other fair-related resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extension Publications<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The WSU Extension Publications<\/strong> page is a library of research-based resources, guides, and educational materials created by WSU experts. Club leaders and volunteers can use it to find reliable information and curriculum to support 4-H projects, activities, and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4-H Club Annual Financial Report Process<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Financial audits of all Washington 4-H Clubs and affiliated groups (i.e. leader\u2019s councils, horse councils, etc.) are required on a yearly basis. Any funds that are raised in the name of the 4-H clover must be used for 4-H education purposes only. Skagit County 4-H Club Financial Binders are due at the Extension Office by September 15th each year. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
