Cultivating Success connects the student with the farmers and local resources through a community-based, experiential course and is a great educational opportunity for anyone interested in the knowledge and skills you need to be a successful small acreage farmer or rancher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nuestro programa ‘Cultivando \u00c9xito’ ofrece cursos que proveen a los productores principiantes con herramientas para la planificaci\u00f3n y la toma de decisiones en la granja, as\u00ed como con conocimiento sobre producci\u00f3n y manejo de negocios para desarrollar una finca\/granja de peque\u00f1a escala de forma sostenible. Cultivando \u00c9xito conecta a los participantes con productores y recursos locales, facilita experiencias en la comunidad y es una buena oportunidad para cualquier persona interesada en obtener el conocimiento y las habilidades necesarias para ser un agricultor exitoso.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Whole Farm Planning: Sustainable Small Acreage Farming and Ranching<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This fall course will cover a broad range of topics and decision-making tools for you to create a successful small farm enterprise!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cultivating Success\u2122: Whole Farm Planning will walk you through a step-by-step process, to help you prepare a well thought out plan for your land, life, and farm business. Learn how to use a whole\u00a0system\u00a0lens to create a living plan for your small farm future. Classes will meet weekly through Zoom, in an online classroom environment and you will be able to connect with a statewide community of other aspiring farm planners. Leave with tools for\u00a0decision\u00a0making and a road map to plan for your farming endeavors. Includes many opportunities for networking and community building in smaller breakout groups too! Come build a solid plan for a farm or food business that suites you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fall Class Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Class meets weekly on Mondays from 6-8pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online course through Zoom with regional in-person field trip opportunities throughout the state in October every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$200 course registration per farm<\/strong> (up to 3 participants). Scholarships available for anyone for whom the course fee is a barrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Business Planning<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Take your farm business to the next level with this winter course. A unique combination of guest speakers, in class discussion and assignments, this course dives into the business side of running a farm, from sales and marketing to financial management. At the end of the course, you will have the core elements of a business plan to guide your farm forward. Scholarships available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lleve su negocio agr\u00edcola al pr\u00f3ximo nivel con este curso del invierno. Con una combinaci\u00f3n \u00fanica de presentadores, platicas en grupo y ensayos, este curso se enfocar\u00e1 en el manejo del negocio agr\u00edcola utilizando recursos sobre ventas, mercadeo, finanzas, e impuestos. \u00a0Al final del curso, habr\u00e1 desarrollado un plan de negocios que le servir\u00e1 como gu\u00eda para construir su negocio agr\u00edcola.
