{"id":814,"date":"2017-03-28T16:07:47","date_gmt":"2017-03-28T23:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/skamania\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=814"},"modified":"2017-03-28T16:07:47","modified_gmt":"2017-03-28T23:07:47","slug":"skamania-pollinator-garden-work-day","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/skamania\/event\/skamania-pollinator-garden-work-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Skamania Pollinator Garden Work Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>April 9<sup>th<\/sup> Skamania Pollinator Garden Work Day (Community Service Opportunity) <\/strong><strong>Hegewald Building 1:00 pm \u2013 4:00pm or when done. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Skamania County Noxious Weed received a grant to plant a Native Pollinator Garden on the Skamania County fairgrounds.\u00a0 More hands are needed to help prepare the space on <\/strong><strong>April 9<sup>th<\/sup><\/strong><strong> from 1:00 pm or whenever you can arrive until completed.\u00a0 Tasks include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>raking the garden site<\/li>\n<li>shoveling small tranches around the edges<\/li>\n<li>laying cardboard down<\/li>\n<li>shoveling wood chips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional hands of all sizes are welcomed.\u00a0 Tools will be provided but members are asked to make sure to wear gloves and appropriate footwear.\u00a0 This is a great way to show how a few hours of light manual labor can eventually lead to something beautiful and give back to their community.<\/p>\n<p>*Events are not necessarily endorsed by Washington State University Extension or Washington State University 4-H.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>WSU Extension programs, employment, and volunteer service are available to all without discrimination.\u00a0 Concerns regarding potential discrimination may be reported through your local Extension office or directly to the WSU Office for Equal Opportunity, web: oeo.wsu.edu, email;
