With changing economies, youth also have few employment opportunities nor many chances to develop job experience. Additionally constrained resources, forest managers and communities need help completing projects that benefit the health of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. All teens must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be current 8th-11th graders (age 14+)<\/li>\n<li>Complete an Application and an Interview<\/li>\n<li>Attend the virtual orientation with their family<\/li>\n<li>Be available to work Monday-Friday for approximately 7 weeks in the summer (7:45a-3:00p)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The starting wage for teens is minimum wage ($17.13\/hr in 2026) with some room for advancement with additional leadership and responsibilities for our selected mentors.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, Mondays-Thursday are reserved for trail work and maintenance for our project partners. Fridays are reserved for learning and taking care of our home base. Adults over the age of 21 are able to apply for the Program Coordinator position and Adult Crew Leaders.
