A Leader’s Council allows these volunteers to meet and interact regularly both with other club leaders in their area and 4-H staff. The ultimate goal of Leader’s Council is to provide structure, training, and opportunities to club leaders to help them meet the educational needs of their enrolled youth and to provide direction for the 4-H program in their county.

At least one adult leader from each club should plan to attend each Leader’s Council meeting. Community members, 4-H youth, parents, and other volunteers are welcome to attend as well. In addition to the goals stated above, Leader’s Council Meetings are a great time for professional development, networking, and resource sharing.

Skamania County Leader’s Council

The Skamania County 4-H Leader’s Council meets on a bi-monthly basis, with additional meetings scheduled throughout the year as needed.
