An Evening UpSTrEaM: GPI’s Hybrid Fundraiser

Join us for Glacier Peak Institute’s Sixth Annual Fundraiser to support our innovative, action-based education programs integrating Science, Technology, recreation, Engineering, art, Mathematics, and skill-building (STrEaMs) . This will be a hybrid event, both in-person, and online, including a silent auction.

Founded after the 2014 Oso Slide and located in Darrington, Glacier Peak Institute actively empowers youth to build resilient and sustainable rural communities and healthy ecosystems across the Glacier Peak region of Western Washington through innovative, action-based education programs integrating Science, Technology, recreation, Engineering, art, Mathematics, and skill-building (STrEaMs). We invite you to support marginalized youth and communities by sponsoring our upcoming hybrid fundraising event “An Evening UpSTrEaM” on May 19th.
Funding strengthens and grows our programming. In 2021, GPI
-350 programs serving 750 youth (most youth participated in multiple programs)
-Planned and guided outdoor STrEaMs programs to the highest poverty school districts in Snohomish, Whatcom, and Skagit Counties
-Led Workforce Development for youth working in trail crew and forestry
-Launched our first young adult crew!!!

2022’s fundraiser will be a hybrid…. powered by both electrons (digital) and good old fashioned muscle. We will have a limited in-person event which is also broadcast as a live, online event.
We will have a silent auction that will open 2 weeks before the event.
