Sustainable Community Steward Training (Class #3) – Zero Waste Update

October 19, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Topic: Zero Waste Update

Passionate about the environment and sustainability? Become a Snohomish County WSU Sustainable Community Steward, today!

This year in cooperation with WSU Island County Extension we are offering our 8-week Sustainable Community Steward volunteer program training online.

The training will take place via Zoom from 6 pm – 8:30 pm, weekly, on Tuesday evenings, starting October 5th and running through November 30th. There will be no class the evening of November 23 (Thanksgiving week).

This training is perfect for those wanting to deepen their knowledge and commitment to learning more about climate change, especially in the area of waste materials management. We will be training on topics such as waste reduction, re-use and proper recycling, plus composting.

Each week we will hear from a variety of local and some national experts in a mix of topics all related to climate change solutions that are achievable at the individual and community levels.

The cost for the training is $40. (Contact us for information about financial assistance, if needed)
