Join us for The Annual SCMGF Sustainable Gardening Winter Speaker Series, from the comfort of your own home, via Zoom!Topic: “Clematis – Selection and Design with the Queen of Vines”
Description:
Whether you have only one clematis or a dozen you can always introduce one more into your garden. Learn about the different types of clematis based on bloom time and vigor and how they can be used for vertical height and as companion plants. Learn that selection starts with deciding on a location – not buying and then finding a place to plant. Learn tips about initial planting, cultural requirements and about subsequent growth and training as a vine. Learn some basic guidelines for pruning and that pruning rarely kills a clematis. Leave this talk ready to buy and plant your next clematis!
