COVID-19 Advisory: WSU Extension is working to keep our communities safe. All Extension programming is being provided virtually, or by approved plan. Effective July 6, 2021, Snohomish County WSU Extension will have a limited administration presence at Willis Tucker Park (Snohomish). ""Join us for The Annual SCMGF Sustainable Gardening Winter Speaker Series, from the comfort of your own home, via Zoom!

Topic: “Plants & Fungi – A Match Made in Heaven”

Come and celebrate the wonderful world of the plant and fungal kingdoms. Learn about the evolution of fungi and their mycorrhizal relationship with plants. This special relationship is essential for healthy growth of more than 90% of vascular land plants–a relationship that is crucial for life on planet earth.

You will also be introduced to the basics of mushroom identification, their nutritional value, and mycoprotein as a food source.
Learn how mushrooms have been used to recycle agricultural waste and clean up our environment. We will explore how mushrooms have the potential to become medicine of the future.

$85 for the entire series, if purchased in advance. Tickets for individual sessions will be available for $20, starting January 1st, based on availability. Limited space available.
