SUMMARY:September Repair Cafe
DESCRIPTION:Got broken stuff? Toss it? No way! Bring it to a WSU Repair Café!\n\n\n\nYou can bring your household goods and our fixers will diagnose the issue and do their best to make it usable again for FREE. They will show you their process\, order parts if necessary\, and help you learn how to do it yourself with one-on-one instruction. Our fixers can repair your items and keep stuff from being tossed in the landfill! \n\n\n\nNOTE: This is part of the larger Sustainamania event happening at Bothell City Hall that day\, so be sure to check out the other organizations and vendors! Learn more here: Sustainamania 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSteps To Participate:\n\n\n\n\nArrive at Bothell City Hall between 10am and 2pm.\n\n\n\nRepair Specialists will be on-site to help with your item and will work with you on repairing.\n\n\n\nPlease arrive before 1PM for most repairs\, as the last hour is usually filled with completing repairs rather than taking on new projects.\n\n\n\n\nPlease note:\n\n\n\n\nWe cannot fund the cost of any additional parts needed. If your item needs a part for repair\, our volunteer will contact you to discuss this with you.\n\n\n\nWe don’t guarantee repairs\, and we are not responsible for any damages from attempting to repair an item. So\, you must sign a liability release form before seeing a repair specialist.\n\n\n\nAt these free repair events\, we may decline to work on any item – in advance or at the event – depending on the item\, the type of repair needed\, the fixers available\, or for other reasons. We cannot work on cell phone batteries or screens\, or Apple product hardware.\n\n\n\nTwo item maximum per event. First come\, first served.\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Repair:\n\n\n\n\nTabletop appliances (e.g. toasters\, blenders\, coffee pots\, etc.)\n\n\n\nOur most popular items: vacuums and lamps\n\nPLEASE EMPTY VACUUMS PRIOR TO EVENT\n\n\n\n\n\nToys\n\n\n\nBicycles\n\n\n\nComputer software issues (e.g. storage issues\, long loading times\, email\, etc.)\n\nWe can install Linux OS on computers with Windows 10 that is no longer supported.\n\n\n\n\n\nClothing mending and small hemming\n\n\n\nSimple jewelry repair (e.g. broken clasp\, missing link\, etc.)\n\n\n\nHome decor\n\n\n\nAnd more!
