Got broken stuff? Toss it? No way! Bring it to a WSU Repair Café!

Sustainable Community Steward Volunteers are offering our next Repair Café Saturday, April 30th. Broken item drop off is available 10 am – 12 pm at Hopeworks Renew Home & Decor Store (just inside the entrance) on 3331 Broadway in Everett.

 

We will be taking limited registrations and will be requiring masks for all participants. Items will be repaired off-site during this remote repair event and available for pick up on Saturday, May 14, 10 am – 11:30 am.

 

Accepted items include: Clocks, jewelry, vacuums, small appliances, home décor, lamps, and some electronics. Limited textile, leather and clothing repairs are available as well. If you can carry it, we’ll try to repair it!

 

Bicycle repair: please plan on 4/28-4/29 for bike drop off at our Repair Partner, Sharing Wheels.

 

Please note: We are unable to fund the cost of any additional parts needed. If a part is needed to be purchased to make the repair, our volunteer will contact you to discuss before parts are ordered. Repairs are not guaranteed and we cannot be held responsible for any damage made in attempt to repair items.

 

Steps To Participate:
· Register for a drop off and pick up time slot via Sign-up Genius
· Arrive at Hopeworks Renew Home & Decor Store, April 30th, between 10am-12pm
· Repair Specialists will be on-site to help with your item, and will work with you on repairing your item.

BIKE REPAIR OPTIONS VIA SHARING WHEELS COMMUNITY BIKE SHOP!

*Does you bike need repair? Check out the DIY Fix-it Station Outside of their location: Sharing Wheels shop at 2531 Broadway in Everett.  Access is on the east (alley) side of the building, with ample parking in the adjacent lot. Contact them about bike repair drop-off.

*There can be situations where the bike needs more extensive work than can be done in a small home shop, or the low value and poor condition of the bike does not warrant its repair, etc., in which case the volunteer will return the bike to the shop and contact the owner.  The client can retrieve the bike as-is, if preferred. Alternately, the client can confer about the bike with the bike shop manager about how to proceed. The client and the shop manager may agree to proceed with further paid repair work at the shop on the bike. Sharing Wheels is a qualified and attractively-priced option for bike repair, if the shop manager has time on the schedule for additional repair work.
