<\/figure>\n\n\n\nWho are the Ambassadors (Promotores) of the Environment?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The Ambassadors of the Environment are volunteers with WSU Snohomish County Extension trained to educate Latinx\/Hispanic families and communities how to care for our natural environment so we can all enjoy a clean, healthy, and safe world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What kind of volunteering do the Ambassadors do?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Ambassadors educate groups on topics including solid waste, recycling, hazardous materials and safe alternatives to cleaning chemicals. They also help manage food waste at events by setting up sorting stations for garbage, recycling, and compost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How can you take care of our environment?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reduce your consumption of goods by making fewer purchases, reuse items you already have, and recycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Take reusable bags with you when you shop.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Put your food scraps in the yard waste bin or\u00a0make your own compost (pdf)<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
