{"id":40085,"date":"2024-12-23T14:42:38","date_gmt":"2024-12-23T22:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/?page_id=40085"},"modified":"2025-08-19T16:01:22","modified_gmt":"2025-08-19T23:01:22","slug":"transcript-outstanding-4-h-exhibitor-award-2020","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/4h\/members\/awards-scholarships\/transcript-outstanding-4-h-exhibitor-award-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"Transcript of Outstanding 4-H Exhibitor Award for 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wsu-row wsu-row--single\" >\r\n    \n<div class=\"wsu-column\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<p>The Outstanding 4-H Exhibitor award is the most prestigious award a 4-H member can earn at Fair.&nbsp; In 2020, our members proved that they are worthy of the award even in a year when there was no Evergreen State Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for the award, a 4-H member must be at the senior level, which means having a 4-H age of 14-18; they need at least two years of exhibiting experience, as well as leadership experience and a history of community service.&nbsp; Even without a fair in 2020, our youth have years of experience to call upon for this award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s how it works:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Senior members submit a written application to the 4-H office by August 1<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A first round of judging narrows the field to a maximum of six finalists, who are then interviewed by a panel of celebrities on the second day of fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Names of the winner and runner-up remain secret until the presentation ceremony, which normally occurs on the evening of the medium and large animal round robin contests.&nbsp; This year we had a virtual ceremony with all finalists present, as well as some family members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our sponsor this year was the Snohomish\/Monroe Co-Op, which provided gift cards for the winners.&nbsp; Winners also received plaques to keep, and the champion\u2019s name was engraved on a fancy revolving trophy, which she will keep until next year, when she will present it to the next winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our celebrity judges this year were Megan Dunn, Andre-Denis Wright, and Tom Teigen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalists included Cara Harris, Andrew Swope, and Gabby Horvath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as our Reserve Winners Kaylee Kpanowski and Aryana Police!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, our Outstanding Exhibitor for 2020, is Sarah Kovich!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Congratulations<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n<\/div>\n        <div id=\"cahnrs-back-to-top\" class=\"cahnrs-back-to-top\" hidden aria-hidden=\"true\">\n            <a id=\"cahnrs-back-to-top-btn\" class=\"cahnrs-back-to-top__btn\" href=\"#product-top\" aria-label=\"Back to top\">\n                <span class=\"cahnrs-back-to-top__icon\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u2191<\/span>\n                <span class=\"cahnrs-back-to-top__label\">Back to top<\/span>\n            <\/a>\n        <\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Outstanding 4-H Exhibitor award is the most prestigious award a 4-H member can earn at Fair.\u00a0 In 2020, our members proved that they are worthy of the award even in a year when there&amp;hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"parent":30313,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_expiration_date":""},"categories":[],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/40085"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=40085"}],"version-history":[{"count":3,"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/40085\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":42720,"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/40085\/revisions\/42720"}],"up":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/30313"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=40085"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=40085"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/snohomish\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=40085"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
