Did you know that you can go to different countries with 4-H?  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 4-H there is so much stuff that you can do, but it doesn’t get used to its fullest. I didn\u2019t know it was a thing I could do, until I was at an informational event for 4-H at the WSU campus in Everett. As I was in one of the classes they offered, we finished early, so someone began to talk about an exchange program that I knew nothing about. I got interested in it, so I looked it up and realized that if I did it, it would be one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I went to Japan but there are so many other places you can go like Costa Rica, Norway, Korea, Taiwan, and Argentina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find out about the opportunities at the website for the exchange program<\/a>. You can also do yearlong programs with 2 different organizations that 4-H partners with in Japan. Also, Japan has an 8-week program and a 4-week program in the summer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During these programs one of the main things that you should come back with is that we are a part of a bigger world, and that there is so much more than just where you are. This is just one part of what it means to be a global citizen and is something that you can learn and understand what is happening around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
