International Exchange Program

Be a Summer Host Family

Washington 4-H International Exchange is hosting youth delegates from Japan this summer. We’re looking for families that want to gain a global perspective by hosting an international delegate. The host family commitment for Japan delegates four weeks in July and August. No special activities are required or expected, just a great Washington family experience for all. These are great kids from families much like yours. They’re excited to make friends, learn about Washington, practice their English, and be a part of your family for a few weeks this summer.

Each host family should have a designated host sibling
who would be the same gender and within 3-4 years of the international delegate.

Apply to be a Summer Host Family at www.states4hexchange.org

Host an International Student in the Academic Year Program

High school students from Japan, Mexico, South Korea or Eurasia spend 10 months attending public high school and participating in school activities. Host families can be retired couples, young families, or individuals of any age, with or without their own children. Our AYP Host Families are warm and welcoming people who are happy to share their lives and American culture.
We’ re recruiting now for the 2019-2020 Academic Year. For more information go to https://www.states4hexchange.org/year-long/
