DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of food and yard waste composting at Closed Loop Park Demonstration Garden \n\n\n\nThe Master Recycler Composter Program of Thurston County offers free in-person and virtual composting workshops monthly from March to October.  Workshops are great for new and experienced composters. \n\n\n\nWorkshops are free and open to the public.  No advance registration is required for in-person workshops. \n\n\n\nLearning how to compost enables you to produce a soil amendment that has many benefits in the garden and keeps waste out of the landfill. \n\n\n\nBenefits of using compost include: \n\n\n\n\nImproves soil structure and fertility\n\n\n\nIncreases moisture holding capacity of soil\n\n\n\nImproved plant growth\n\n\n\nProtects soil from erosion when used as a mulch
