DESCRIPTION:That’s Right! The Waste-Not Swap\, Where EVERYONE’S A WINNER! \nOpen to all. Refreshments will be served. \nAll proceeds go to the Master Gardener Foundation of Thurston County which supports the Master Gardener & Master Recycler Composter community education programs. \nHere’s how it works!\nYou BRING up to 10 “like new” or “gently used” items to trade – from any of these three categories: \n\nGardening tools/supplies (non-motorized hand tools/items only)\nBooks: about Gardening/Recycling/Composting/Waste\nSeeds (viable seeds only. Please label individual packets/bags/containers)\n\n6 pm to 6:50 pm \nUpon entering you will receive a ticket for each item you brought with you. Place your items on the marked tables and then begin checking out the items other folks brought. \n7:00 pm SWAP begins \nYou TRADE as many tickets you have for ANY other items at the SWAP. Give your tickets to one of SWAP table helpers who will count your tickets and items to verify you’ve made a successful SWAP. \nIMPORTANT NOTE:  Trades are NOT (we repeat\, NOT) based on value. These are 1 to 1 trades regardless of what the item is or from which of the three categories. DESCRIPTION:3rd Annual Savor South Sound at the Thurston County Fair \nFeaturing Northwest wines\, brews\, and hard ciders \nIt’s time to experience all that Cascadia brewers\, cider makers\, and vintners have to offer at the third annual Savor South Sound\, taking place on Friday\, July 31 and Saturday\, August 1 from 5:00 – 10:00 p.m.\, during the Thurston County Fair. \nThis two-day event will feature over a dozen local producers with a focus on unique recipes\, blends and techniques with a Pacific Northwest touch. You can sample creations from Puget Sound favorites like Three Magnets Brewing\, Fish Tale Ales\, Whitewood Cider Co.\, Top Rung Brewing\, Stottle Winery\, Cloquallum Vineyards\, Seattle Cider Company\, Two Beers Brewing and more. \nThe Nisqually Tribe will also return this year to offer a custom menu they’ve put together especially for this event including salmon caught as part of their sustainable fishing program. \nA ticket to this year’s Savor is $10 and includes a commemorative Belgian-style beer glass and two tastings. Additional tastings will also be available for purchase. Ticket price is in addition to the cost of Fair entry. The event is located at the Gazebo Green near the Food Court Stage. \nThe third annual Live and Local Concert Series presenting local bluegrass sensations\, the Oly Mountain Boys and the Pine Hearts will also be featured at this year’s fair. Other highlights include time-honored activities like the tractor pull\, judged contests\, and 4-H and FFA youth showing their livestock for market sale. \nThis event is presented by The Thurston County Fair Foundation.
