Recycler Composter Program of Thurston County offers free in-person and virtual composting workshops monthly from March to October.&nbsp; Workshops are great for new and experienced composters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workshops are free and open to the public.&nbsp; No advance registration is required for in-person workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-cta \" >\n\t<a \t\t\t\t\thref=\"https:\/\/extension.wsu.edu\/thurston\/gardening\/composting\/\"\t\n\t\tclass=\"wsu-button \">\n\t\t\t\n\t\tSchedule of composting workshops\t\t\t<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Learning how to compost enables you to produce a soil amendment that has many benefits in the garden and keeps waste out of the landfill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benefits of using compost include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Improves soil structure and fertility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increases moisture holding capacity of soil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved plant growth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Protects soil from erosion when used as a
