Would you like to help others in your community?  You do not have to be an expert gardener to participate.  Horticulture classes, reference materials, and mentoring will help prepare you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Master Gardener Training is held every other year. Please contact the office to have your name added to the contact list to receive notifications.<\/p>\n\n\n

Master Gardeners are university-trained volunteers who provide research-based information about gardening, environmental stewardship, and horticulture topics.  Volunteers serve as community educators to enhance natural resources, sustain communities and improve the health and wellness of Washington residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WSU Master Gardener volunteers provide educational programs, give advice and answers to questions on home gardening and landscape maintenance, pest management, composting, and related topics.  This is accomplished through various activities such as plant clinics, telephone or personal contacts, demonstrations, and\/or classes supervised and supported by the Walla Walla County Extension program coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look for Master Gardeners at Farmer’s Market, at Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days, and at Master Gardener Extension Office gardening clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. April through September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WSU Walla Walla County Extension has Master Gardener Volunteer Training every other year. If you live in Walla Walla County and you think you might be interested in becoming a WSU  Master Gardener Volunteer, fill out our interest form!<\/p>\n\n\n
