They also perform research to better understand practices that will reduce the risk of food-borne illness outbreaks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/foodsafety.wsu.edu\/ag\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WSU Extension Food Safety Program<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Washington State Department of Agriculture \u201cBridging the GAPs\u201d Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bridging the GAPs is a WSDA project to improve food safety and develop Good Agricultural Practices\u00a0<em>(GAP)<\/em>\u00a0and Good Handling Practices\u00a0<em>(GHP)<\/em>\u00a0education and outreach services.
