Mission Statement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The mission of 4-H Youth Development is to empower youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Social Media Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Yakima County 4-H social media networks are managed and monitored by WSU Yakima County 4-H Youth Development staff, faculty, and volunteers\/interns who support community outreach and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the Yakima County 4-H Youth Development social media networks is to build a community of 4-H supporters and stakeholders (e.g., volunteers, families, youth, community members, partner organizations) to engage in positive and productive conversation and communication. Our social media networks are monitored daily to make sure postings and discussions are appropriate and consistent with 4-H program values. Social media administrators, typically 4-H staff or faculty, will respond from time to time, as necessary, or will direct a participant\u2019s questions or concerns to the appropriate party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agreements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By posting on a public portion of our social media networks you agree that we may use your likeness or comments to promote the 4-H Youth Development program. In addition, when posting on our social media networks, you agree to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Contain language, images or video that is determined to be profane, obscene, vulgar or lewd;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Use language that can be perceived as derogatory or discriminatory (including comments about sex, age, race, sexual orientation, gender identity, political or religious affiliation);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Spamming comments posted regarding the same content matter, links, video, or any other media;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Use of specific names of individuals, clubs or identifiable names with language that defames, abuses, or threatens;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Promotion of any advertisement for products or services, causes, or solicitation of funds, exceeding more than one post per week<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n
