2025 Fashion Revue & Talent Show<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We are so excited the 2025 Fashion Revue & Talent Show is almost here! All local 4-H members are encouraged to show off their talent at this fun event \u2013 Whether it be with music, acting, or their fabulous fashion skills! Clothing members, be sure to check your mail as the informational packets have been sent out this week. The youth registration final deadline has been extended to Friday, April 11th<\/strong>, so be sure to get your paperwork in & join the fun! Educational & Promotional Posters \u2013 Due April 30th<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Attention all 4-H Members!! Promotional Posters are due to the Extension Office by April 30th, 2025! <\/strong>This is a county wide 4-H contest. 4-H posters come in 2 categories: educational or promotional. Educational posters provide an opportunity for members to share information about 4-H and a wide range of projects. Unlimited pictures or words. Promotional posters are an opportunity for members to promote the 4-H program in a fun and positive way. One main idea, with minimum words of up to 6 words. The posters need to be 14\u2033x22\u2033 (half of a full size poster board). Find resources on our website<\/a> can help members create great 4-H posters!<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

2025 Benton-Franklin 4-H Camp<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Benton-Franklin County 4-H has invited all 4-H’ers to attend their 2025 summer camp! This camp will be held from June 22 – June 27th, 2025.<\/strong> All Camp Fees must be paid by check this year, prices listed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All Counselors and volunteers must be enrolled in 4-H Online in order to attend. Youth interested in becoming counselors must be age 16 by the first day of 4-H Camp. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration for this event can be found in 4-H Online<\/a>, this registration form is for ALL campers, counselors, counselors-in-training, and adult volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kitsap 4-H Summer Camp<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to providing your child with a life-changing experience, there\u2019s nothing quite like 4-H summer camp. Camp provides the full benefits of a 4-H experience coupled with the fun and wonder of camping in the great outdoors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What<\/strong>: Kitsap 4-H Camp \u2013 2025 Theme \u201cUnder the Olympic Canopy\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When<\/strong>: July 27, 2025 (5PM) \u2013 July 31, 2025 (10AM)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who<\/strong>: Campers: Ages 8-16 (as of October 1st<\/sup> of the year prior to camp date). Prior 4-H membership is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location<\/strong>: Panhandle Lake 4-H Camp<\/a>, Shelton, WA. It is located on 30 acres of land surrounded by 490 acres of tree farm owned by Panhandle\/WSU\/etc. The setting is ideal for learning and playing in a \u201cwilderness\u201d atmosphere. Buildings include a large dining hall, restrooms with plenty of showers and toilets, and an outdoor covered craft area. Each week we use the lodge one night for a camper dance party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COST: <\/strong>$270. Scholarships are available if financial assistance is needed to attend.  Please complete the 2025 Kitsap 4-H Camp Scholarship Request Form<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cat Members are Invited to the Enchanted Forest Cat Show<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Kitsap County 4-H 4 All Club invites all Washington 4-H Cat Project members to join us at our \u201cEnchanted Forest\u201d 4-H Cat Show on Saturday, May 3rd,<\/strong> at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Cat Barn. We\u2019ll have contests for showmanship, cat type, cage decoration, costume, knowledge, breed ID, and equipment judging! Ribbons and fun for all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calling Future Film Makers!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We have some great opportunities for youth interested in the creation of anime, short, or feature films. We will be hosting another Teen Film Camp on Whidbey Island from July 15-19th<\/strong>, where participants get immersed in writing, filming, and editing their own films. Our mentors are experienced filmmakers that will be available to answer any questions and guide participants through the creative process.  The films made at camp will be shown on the big screen on the last day of camp as a part of the Youth Film Festival on July 19th<\/strong>.  See below for more information!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teen Film Camp is an amazing opportunity for seniors in 4-H to get hands-on experience with creating a short film. Participants will get to learn about a variety of aspects of filmmaking from experienced filmmakers!  Senior 4-H Members are invited to apply, but space is limited to 8 teens. Applications are being accepted from April 1st – April 14th<\/strong>, and those who are selected will be notified by April 31st<\/strong>. 4-H Member Cards being sent out this month<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Congratulations, Club Leaders! You have just completed the Winter quarter of the 2024-2025 4-H Year! Youth members who’ve enrolled in 4-H Online during the months of January-March, will have membership cards printed and mailed to their primary clubs leaders by the end of the month. Other contents within this envelope will include your clubs roster, your club’s status of enrollment, current project and participation list. Yakima County Leaders’ Council Documents Available on Google Drive<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In efforts to keep our 4-H community actively involved with decision making process, the Yakima County Leaders\u2019 Council Board members and Extension Of\ufb01ce have teamed up in making our documents transparent to all through Google Drive. All meeting agenda, minutes & budgets can be found accessed by the public at all times through Google Drive<\/a>. 4-H Clubs Facebook Groups<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Facebook has proven to be a useful tool for reaching volunteers and parents. If your club or group has a Facebook page, please ensure the page is private, not public, to support youth safety. A private but searchable page will allow new member families and volunteers to \ufb01nd your page but stop unaf\ufb01liated public members from seeing youth photos or any identifying information you post when sharing contest results, meeting reminders, and more. All 4-H pages should have at least three admins: two enrolled volunteers and the 4-H of\ufb01ce. Invite the 4-H of\ufb01ce as an admin member of the group, by copying the link to your group and emailing it to Yakima.4h@wsu.edu<\/a>. The 4-H of\ufb01ce’s role is not to run your club’s page but to help manage a page transition if required during leadership changes and support with set-up as needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
