DESCRIPTION:Adult Mental Health First Aid consists of 2-hours of self-paced content followed by 5.5 hours of instructor-led training (additional time added for lunch and breaks). Mental Health First Aid for Adults teaches people how to recognize signs of mental health or substance use challenges in adults ages 18 and older\, how to offer and provide initial help\, and how to guide a person toward appropriate care if necessary. This training plays a crucial role in saving lives and promoting mental health awareness and support. \nThis course is offered free to adults in our community by Washington State University Extension in cooperation with the City of Mukilteo thanks to grant funding from Washington State Health Care Authority.
