At Providence, we believe that the best way to treat an injury is to prevent it from happening in the first place. Injuries and violence are preventable public health priorities. Because the health and well-being of our community is important to us, we provide ongoing public education and resources to improve injury prevention for people of all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We take a data-driven approach to understanding our community\u2019s greatest needs. We leverage our trauma registry to track the leading causes and contributing factors of our patients\u2019 trauma injuries. Then, we create programs and work with community partners to proactively address these issues and help prevent those injuries that affect the most vulnerable.<\/p>\n\n\n

West Spokane Wellness Partnership implements a Positive Social Norm Media Campaign which is rooted in the Science of the Positive by Dr. Jeff Linkenbach. Because we are a data driven and data informed coalition, we want to ensure that we are correctly educating the public about the strengths of our youth, families, and community. The South Whidbey CARES Coalition’s primary goal is to reduce underage use of alcohol and marijuana, improve academic performance, and reduce juvenile crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coalition is a partnership of parents, youth, educators, health professionals, law enforcement,
faith leaders and local government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The coalition implements evidence-based strategies, leverages local resources and evaluates the impact of
selected programs.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t<\/span>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n
